Watch out for these three talking monsters at AMC Vestal!!!

J and I went to AMC at Vestal last night for Captain America. Oh! Can't tell you how much I love skinny boys, especially when a skinny boy turns out to be a hero!!!

However, while trying to enjoy the movie, there were three continuously talking creatures sitting right behind us. They not only shared all their commentaries at least with us while we didn't ask for them but kindly spread their personal interests for the future with us. For instance, one of them wants to become a fiction writer. Please start working on it so we can miss you in the theater!

Here is the description of the three. When you are picking up your seats in that theater, watch out for these three. So, you can still enjoy the movies. This gang has two girls and a boy. One of them is a big girl with blonde hair. The other girl only has brownish hair. I didn't get a good look at the boy, luckily he didn't make much drama throughout the show. The blonde one is the most aggressive speaker of the three. As in my memory, she was also the one telling her interest becoming a writer. I will be wishing her best luck in order to enjoy movies from now on.

Otherwise, Captain America is awesome!! There is definitely a type casting on the case of Herr Schmidt, my dearest Mr. Smith from the Matrix.

What you should do if you must "tuckitaway"

I have to tell you that none really needs a storage place if you have items sitting in the place for more than 1 year, especially, if you no longer remember what you have in the storage place. That's the time to stop the contract for sure without getting everything rotten there. Maybe there are better storage places out there with better qualities, services and people. If you must "tuck it away", here are some tricks you should know.

1. Make friends with the people who work in the warehouse.
They are in general a lot nicer than the people in the office. You never know what kind of help they can give you or advise you anytime. The people in the office just want to shut you down and make more money anytime.

2. Always take out something you don't think you will need from the storage place every time you visit.
At this moment, they don't have surveillance cameras there. It really sucks that the people who work in the warehouse will be the ones throwing out the garbage for you but this is the best way slowly getting rid off stuff without bringing yourself to the final trouble.

3. Choose a garbage day to vacate your storage place.
You have a better chance to get rid off your bigger items easily.

Here is my journey of getting rid off the stuff. After I realized that the office people were not being helpful at all, I told them that I want to go to my space to see what I can take with me today. I went there and luckily got a cart when I wasn't supposed to get one. It was the garbage day and there were many unwanted things out already. I saw a truck picking up a bed. I asked if I could drop my pieces of wood there. He told me that if I am not a tenant, he is not supposed to. I begged him and offered a kiss. And I succeeded.

After I moved everything out, I went to the office. The woman who worked in the office couldn't believe it but she had no way to stop me from getting out from my contract. I wished her a good day like nothing had ever happened and left.

So, if you are still thinking about getting a storage place after reading these articles, I can only wish you best luck and hope you have a better plan than mine.

"tuck it away" if you can bear these events I've been through...

Thinking about getting a storage place? Go with Tuckitaway if you can stand what I am gonna tell below.

1. Faulse advertisement -free moving-
It has FREE MOVING on their advertisement. They only have free moving IN not OUT. (It's the first step to get you in without getting out ever.) They never told me when I moved my stuff into my station. I found it out when I tried to schedule a move out. They started to tell me that if I want to get the truck(like how I moved things in there), I have a 3 hours minimum to pay. If I want to have "helpers", they also have 3 hours minimum. That will totally make a simple 10 blocks away moving into a nearly 5 hundred dollar event.

2. Two months after my contract, they mailed me and told me they are raising up the price for 6 dollars more per month.

3. They called without figuring out why.
A. The first time I got a ton of calls from them when everything was paid regularly every month. I called them back and they told me that I have to pay 6 more dollars every month again. I asked them, "Is this even legal? You know, the rent control is makes the increase of rent so little. How can a little storage place raise 6 dollars up from 70 dollars per month only?" The person on the other side of the phone got mad at me and shoutted, "We have to live, too." I answered, "I am just asking. I believe that there is nothing you can do. I will find it out. Don't worry." So, I paid them 6 dollars more for a couple of months. The next time, when I was trying to get into my storage place, I realized that I totally forgot my key on my lock the last time. I told them that I need someone to cut my lock open  and I need a new lock. They told me that I have "credits of 30 dollars in my account" I can use for the cutting lock and new lock services. When we walked to my storage place, the lock looked very different. It is their company policy if they find an unlocked storage place, they have to put on a new lock immediately in order to secure the place.

I realized that the reason they called me a few months ago probably was to tell me my lock situation. Instead of telling me so or finding out why when I called them back, they told me that my rent is going higher. I paid them more and it turned out that I didn't have to.

B. The second time they called me a ton. They left messages related to payment again. I thought they were gonna raise 6 dollars more again. I didn't reply right after. They kept calling and finally they told me that I missed a month of payment. I said, "wait, I clearly remembered when I paid. Let me get back to you in a few." I checked my online payment history through emails with my bank account history. They both indicated a payment was made to Tuckitaway already. I called them back and told them my payment number with the exact dates and detail. After 3 min on hold, they told me that they found the payment, and without showing any apologie, she hung up on me.

4. They don't have a good online payment system designed. First, they didn't sinc the data to online payment page. the customers have to type in all the information. When I change the address online, they never made any change in their system. I found it out when I finally terminated my storage place and they told me that they will mail me a check to my address. When I checked the address, it was still the address I used a thousand years ago. That was probably the reason they didn't know that they got my new payment already because they couldn't match the address and they never tried until I told them.

5. The people who work in the office never look pleasant. I found this part terribly annoying.

6. Try "terminate the contract"
A. They told me that I have to clean up my storage place first
I totally agreed, so I asked them if there is a place I can throw out what I do not need. They told me they do not own a garbage space and I can not do that. I told them that this is ridiculous because all this time I've been dragging out unwanted stuff out from my storage place every time I visited, and the stuff always disappeared without being requested. Does that mean that I should just keep doing things like this without being a responsible person? Then, a lady working in the office said, "if we had known that, we would have billed you." So then, I said, "OK, how much do you charge if I make you guys throw out my stuff?" Silence, dead silence.

And then I asked them if I could borrow a cart to move my stuff out and put them on the street somewhere so New York City people can pick them out especially it looked like a garbage day out. They told me that first I can't borrow the moving cart. Second, I can't just put them on the street. They told me the only way I can do this is to get a car to take my stuff out from my storage place. I said, what if I don't have friends here and I don't know how to drive. Should I just leave my storage place like this and just refuse to pay in the future. They said, "then, you will have bad credits." I said, "what if I don't care because my country does not believe credits system in the US?" I told them that I am trying to be responsible but I can't drive, I don't have friends here. I need some other way to vacade my storage place. They went silent.

I called 311 and decided to file up a complain about tuckitaway. I got the website. On the same day, I met two other women who tried to vacade their storage places with the same problems I was having. We wished each other luck and exchanged the info of the website.

After the phone call, my mind started to spin. So, in the next blog will be the journey of how you can deal with this situation if tuckitaway is your only choice.

Blokus 3D Game

Great deals!

I was trying to figure out the pricing for a box set records for my sponsor, the goddess of Cello, Christine Walevska. She is going to Italy to perform. While researching, I found great deals online that I purchased right away.(Click on the pictures below will take you to the great deals I was talking about)

Madama Butterfly 2.97USD for the entire opera mp3 download!!! Great deal~ Although, it's divided into 3 tracks only. I don't mind finding at all. This works for me perfectly.

Maria Callas ~ Complete Studio Recordings 70 CDs for 107.99USD

Maria Callas: Complete Recordings Deluxe 70 CDs for 652.15USD, limited edition, I will praise anyone who actually got it.. Wow~

Jascha Heifetz (Complete Original Jacket Collection) (104 CD) 107CDs for 299.99USD, I would definitely get it if I were a violin major.

The Pavarotti Edition (includes bonus disc with previously unreleased 1964 debut Decca recording session) 10 CDs for 99.99USD. Pavarotti seems to be more pricey compared to others. Well, guess what, he dyed last.

From time to time, it's a good thing to check Amazon's mp3 deals. I got my Pavarotti collection for only one 1$. They may have stuff sort by composers as well. The mixture isn't always a bad idea as long as it's dirt cheap!

Red House Chinese Restaurant

2 days ago, John Roro, Lee, Jared and I decided to visit this new Chinese restaurant on Main St in Binghamton.(New to us but it's been here for a few months.) It's run by Chinese people from Beijing(I thought I heard that.). The food was very good. We got three flavored chicken三杯雞, stir fried shredded pork with dry bean curd 香干肉絲, hot and sour soup酸辣湯, 蒜泥白肉, Beijing duck北京烤鴨, with hot tea. The dinner was very good. We were terribly full after. However, I still convinced people to eat some green tea ice cream mochi I purchased upstairs of the restaurant.

I am definitely going back again. Next time, I will order more different dishes!

Someone stop me, please!

I am such an addict. Civ5 has spent more than 49 hours with me in the past 4 day. It started one day I decided to see how it works for a single player game. I was Alexander. a couple of hours later, I won by getting the best research score. After I won, the game asked me if I want to return to main menu or "wait,... just... one... more...turn..." Of course, I clicked on "wait...". Of course, it's not just one more turn. I started to use my death robots to take over all the little countries around... It did not end in the coming 4 hours. It didn't end even after someone off work...

That was it. After 7 hours of games, I thought it's enough. I really felt so. I told J that I will never play more than 1 hour a day in the future. The day after, I went back to the computer, thinking about what I could do differently. I chose a new set up. 3 hours later, I won again, by surviving from battles all over the world. It asked me if I want to go back to the main menu, well, you know what I chose. Someone was off from work and caught me red handed.

Awful, that was the only one thing I could say. It definitely felt like a waste of time. That was how this addiction worked for me. I knew that I will always feel like waste of time whenever I play it. I will always think that I can control myself. The truth is no. At least, not now. Not until I get a new addiction. Alright, that was my confession of my new guilty pleasure. I am back to normal again!

Planning on an Asian garden!

I've been making bento box everyday. For those who have known me for ages, they would think that I am out of my mind. It's not yet a huge repertoire but definitely the list of fried rice is growing. You know what happens when you shop at Sam's Club. You usually buy a little bit too much of everything. In that case, I've been pretty much eating the same ingredients every day for a week. Since Jared has space, I am thinking about planting more Asian veggie. Here we go, (here are the pictures of the links to Amazon. If you like more detail, you can click on the pictures to read more about them)
Nature Seeds Ong Choy (Kangkong / Water Spinach) 200 new Vegetable SeedsRadish Daikon Miyashige White Certified Organic SeedBlack Sea Man Tomato 10 Seeds - Heirloom
The tomatoes look crazy. Just wanna share. I am not sure about growing them in the garden yet, maybe next year. Ong Choy and Daikon definitely should be planted in the garden. I love those two, especially daikon. Daikons can be pickled, boiled in the soup, or sliced and fried to make rice cakes, etc. If I can grow them here, I won't get all excited holding a huge Daikon at Wegmans like a Hentai...

Other than those, sunflowers, basil, lettuce, regular tomato, cat grass, lots of cactus, and etc are grown in Jarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's property. Every living creature will be happy with at least something green here. BTW, there may be a deer eating the sunflowers by leaning on the fence. Deer hunter, anyone?

Talking about skinny white boys...

Speaking about my fetish to skinny white boys. Here are a couple of them that I have to mention!
(If you like to watch the movie through amazon.com, click on the pictures and they will direct you to the site.)

Adrien Brody is a cutie and an outstanding actor.
The JacketThe PianistOxygen
I feel for him in every movie. Even when he is playing the bad guy in Oxygen, he still has enormous charm. The Pianist was my first contact to this talented actor. He brilliantly portrayed the suffering artist and yet won an Oscar for this role! In the Jacket, he plays a patient in a mental institute. With a special treatment, he gets to see the future in the dream. Once he realizes that, he starts to help his surroundings by warning people's future. At the end, he gets to live in the dream forever. And Oxygen makes him a total charming psycho! His smile can be so innocent and so wicked at the same time.

Tim Roth,
The Legend of 1900Perfect Husband [VHS]Made in Britain

A half key lower of Dies Bildnis...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i9yPFzkfTp0
A third down from La donna è mobile
OK! I admit that I especially adore characters as musicians, or to be more specific, piano players...
In made in Britain, Tim Roth is an absolute bad-ass. Both Tim and Adrien are both astonishing when they play the out of control characters!

DJ Qualls
The New Guy
I must have watched this movie more than 100 times. He doesn't have the pensive look yet but I know that he will be as stunning one day! He's a hell of a tall skinny white boy. In this movie, he plays the bass(!? as I recall...). His character starts as a total loser in the high school transforming into a bad-ass and yet into a hero once he transfers to another high school. This comedy mocks several scenes from the grand movies in the old time. It's definitely mindless and entertaining. I definitely got some vocabulary built up by watching this movie. Crazy eye~

OK! Enough SWBs. TBC one day~

Kitty cat was sick...

Oh! Squid wasn't doing well a few days ago.(Right before the 4th of July) He would sit in the litter box for minutes without anything happening. He was taken to a vet for some tests. The conclusion was that he may need more water. So, here it is, we get him a spring so he would want to drink more often...(The picture contains a link to Amazon.com, where I bought this fountain. If you like to know detail about how it works, click on this picture will take you to Amazon.com and you can read more about it!)

One unique genius, Stephen Chow

(The pictures on this page are also links to Amazon.com if you like to read more about them or even watch the movies sometimes if Amazon.com has it streamed already!)

Before 周星馳's movies became every channel's favorite, I was so taken by his special sense of humor. Well, a lot of his humor was carried through well by his voice-over(Mandarin), 石斑魚. One day, I watched Stephen's movie in Cantonese, he felt like a completely different person. Anyways, like every other male star in Asia, he started watching Bruce Lee when he was young. Stephen, then, worked very hard to build his martial art technique. (Everyone can see his work in his movie, Kong-Fu Hustle) Stephen Chou had the passion to become one of the greatest actor. It didn't happen very soon. His first role was playing a dead body. I forgot what happened between now and then. Stephen had huge success with his movies, (Royal Tramp 1, 2). He always plays a timid but witty character who talks endlessly. He definitely did a lot of home work as an actor. In his movie, A Chinese Odyssey(齊天大聖東遊記), we can see the shadow of Jim Kerry.

People may criticize him being good at only comedies. I don't see what's wrong with that. If that's what you are good at, do it! I've tried to get his movies in the states, but the price has all gone crazy. Here is a list of my must-see and must-own if you like to dig Chinese humor.

Flirting ScholarFlirting Scholar(唐伯虎點秋香)
famous moment, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jLn-Lthtd0
In this part, Stephen played Po-hu, in disguise as Hwa-An, working in his enemy's mansion as a tutor. This link has most of the talkative and funny moments from the movie. Some of the words may seem rude or too frank for Chinese audience but I enjoyed them very much.

From Beijing with Lovefrom Beijing with love(凌凌七大戰金槍客)
Stephen plays a butcher who also works for a secret government agency. He finally gets assigned to a mission. The best moment is definitely the bullet removing scene! BTW, he doesn't use guns but butcher knife!

In this link, his friend is trying to remove the bullet from his leg. He is watching some adult movie to ease pain. Because of the movie, erection happens, and it gets his friend's attention. He explains himself not to bleed too much by directing the blood to a concentration...

Hail The Judge (A Stephen Chow Comedy)Hail the Judge
Stephen plays a boy who always wants to be a judge but he has no much luck. Eventually, because of wanting to help an innocent pregnant woman, he gets fired and almost killed. He wonders to a whore house and discovers the best technique of arguing. He finally makes his come back and kicks evil judges asses.

From watching the lady arguing with other women, he learns a lot and has been practicing. In this link, the lady questions him for hanging out with her daughter. He says, I am working in the whore house, of course, I care about the whores. If the whores are not happy, they don't work well. If they don't work well, the whore house will crash. If the house crashes, I will have to sleep on the street. Of course, it's my business...

While speaking, my movie, God of Gambler 3, has arrived. I am gonna watch it for more than 100 times...

My new friend, Otamatone!

I was playing this toy called, Otamatone, at Manami's apt. It was so fun. It looks like an eighth note. The bottom part is a head and the mouth can be open. The stem has a metal sensor for pitches. It basically works like a string instrument. When you play it, one hand makes the pitches, the other hand will hold the mouth part. When you press on the corner of the mouth, the mouth will open and make the noise based on the pitches you press. I am so getting one right now!

I definitely want to write some composition for virtuoso otamatone players and make a youtube symphony piece out of it. Manami is in. Anyone else? It definitely needs some practice, ha~

test

The very first blog with my phone.

Got back to Manhattan today. Things were great. Watched transformer, not thrilled about it. Saw two dear friends whom I'd not seen for a long while.

Had lots of laughter, great food, boy talk, etc. Life is so vibrant in the city even it's just a little taste of it. I'm not crazy about living here but man, once in a while, it's go to b back. It's the place I can live without getting a ride from someone else. The lousy subway is still the same but it indeed goes everywhere I need.

Manhattan, what am I gonna do with u?

Games I love~

Games, of course I love video games. Here are a few I've been deeply in love with. They have to be cute, with interesting concept, or with a beautiful story line.(Click on those pictures will take you to Amazon.com where you can read more about the games!)
LittleBigPlanetLittle big planet,
So cute! And I'm not afraid to die at all, "the little sac doesn't deserve to die". Music is fun, too! I like the talking by the narrator, but some may think that he talks too much!
PikminPikmin,
Also a very cute game. There are different color of pikmins. I love it because of the sound effect, especially, "Oh oh~" I need a wii version of it! Can't hustle with Gamecube anymore. Pikmin 2 has co-op mode, I think... Can't remember now.
Portal 2Portal 2, co-op mode.
I was orange while playing this with Jared. I was completely a musician, without knowing what to do in general. I love the concept and travel through portals. The concept is really easy but the puzzles are beautiful! There wasn't music going on as I could recall. That added spooky effect to the game while playing. Btw, one extra special thing about the game. The talking instructor was mean!
Secret of ManaSecret of Mana, co-op available
my first ARPG game by square. The story is amazing. Mana tree is holding the world and it's dying because of evil force. As the lead, pulled out the sword by accident but ended up saving the world. Mana tree was almost destroyed, but at the end, the little bud peeked out. The dragon flying around is cute and fun. (In the second one, I recall a turtle people can ride on the sea.) The operation is easy. The action setting still makes me feel like real combat most of time. I also played the one after, which has more various choices of leading characters, careers, and so on.
